Our program accommodates children from infants through to Kindergarten. The Centre has a capacity for 84 children. We provide in house nutritious lunches as well as a morning and afternoon snacks. Our menu is planned in accordance with the Canada Food Guide and includes fresh fruit and vegetables 2 – 3 times a day. We are proud to say our menu consists of many whole foods with recipes would serve to our own families.

Lumino’s dedicated team of Early Childhood Educators implement a variety of daily activities they plan based on the needs, interests and abilities of the children. When Educators observe the emerging interests or abilities of the children, we document and adapt activities to nurture their sense of wonder and provide opportunities for teaching moments in the classroom. Our Reggio inspired environment is intentionally designed to create learning spaces where children can explore activities that provoke inquiry and inspire creativity. Families are encouraged to spend time in the program and are often invited to join their child for lunch, for parent education workshops and networking evenings, and for special events.

We offer transportation to our Kindergarten program located at Thornhill Child Care – Haysboro Centre. The Kindergarten is a half-day, Alberta Education funded program designed to prepare children for a successful entry into grade one.
