Child Care Centre Program
The Thornhill Child Care Centre opened
on December 2nd, 1974.
Our objectives are to provide quality
child care, which we consider to be a
supportive, positive and educational
experience for the child and family. We
offer individual programming for children
who have more specialized needs. Our
programs are designed to help children
grow physically, intellectually, socially
and emotionally through spontaneous
involvement with their environment.
In October 2005, our North Centre
received accreditation status
from the Alberta
Association for the Accreditation
of
Early Learning and Care
Services.
Accreditation
is a voluntary program
which aims to
improve quality of care.
It involves a number
of rigorous steps
which include a self-study
which can
take up to 12 months, a site visit
and
ongoing monitoring. For more informa-
tion
on accreditation please visit: www.aelcs.ca.

Eligibility

and 6 years of age. The Centre has a capacity for eighty-five children.
